April 23, 2014 - Dense, dark and fumey on the nose with hints of plum, dark chocolate and over-ripe dark cherries. Lushy on the palate, big without being particularly bold, creamy and pleasant but still with mild tannins, with some taste of vanilla, berry jam and (faintly) pepper.

October 30, 2011 - I consider this a lighter style Merlot - but it still possesses enough body to please those that prefer "big reds". Beautiful garnet color in the glass with aromas of cherry and dark fruit on the nose. Medium weight on the tongue with smooth tannins. Good acidity helps make this an excellent food pairing wine.

October 9, 2011 - Very good merlot. Seems a little out of balance with the alcohol level (tastes like high content) but delicious berry flavors. Nose was filled with blue or black berries. Nice long finish.

August 20, 2011 - Took my own advice and tasted blind with some big Napa cabs -- and it easily held its own. Big, thick, and a bit rustic, got great reaction when served to a group of cab drinkers. Very, very good for the money, and will age gracefully.

April 29, 2011 - Dense, chewy, thick red that has real aging potential. Still young, this wine has nice tannins and decent acidity. The perfect Merlot to taste blind with those people who think Cab rules the world; well-made with good balance.
