  July 24, 2020 - Mid-ruby colour. Intense oak spices (almost resinous) with chocolate, ripe fruits, both black and red and some liquorice. Then a touch of acetone, some leather as the wine opens up. The palate holds fabulous concentration, quite powerful with lavish new oak, plenty of spices (Clove, star anise) and a dark chocolate appeal with Xmas cake and some dry compost, almost tobacco and a sort of overripe banana element (like Rioja!)

  September 21, 2017 - Decanted for an hour. This wine is in a great place right now. Aromas of red fruit and a bit of earth. Very balanced with plenty of acidity. Not heavy at all despite 14,5% alc. Very elegant and harmonious. No heat. Medium length and a slight touch of bitterness towards the end.

  March 1, 2014 - The aromas and flavors match with notes of cherry, cocoa and earth. Medium acid/tannins/finish. Perhaps a bit sweet but I could see that potentially going away with a bit more age. Tasty but not quite outstanding.
