    July 18, 2018 - A: Deep gold
    N: Medium (+) nose
Bruised apple, bruised pear, honey, musk, chamomile, hay, dried orange and lemon peel, overripe persimmon. Wet stone, hazelnut and bitter hazelnut skin, a touch of mushroom. Fully developed
P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium (+) body, medium (+) intensity and medium (+) finish.
C: BLIC? Very good quality wine though past its prime, i suspect. Drink now (in next year). I bought this from a shop which probably didn't store this on its side and so the cork was dry and fragmented despite the intervention of an ah-so opener.
$30 for this which isn't bad. they also have the 2009 at the same store and so would be interesting to try that one too.

The honey and musk here indicated that there might be some botrytis grapes involved. 2008 was cool and had a high rot and mildew pressure. A sunny september may have meant there was more botrytis rather than grey mould about.

May 5, 2013 - Clear lemon in color, with a hint of gold. Medium intensity. The nose is clean, with lemon, vanilla, honey and wet stone. The nose is medium plus in intensity and developing (+). The palate is dry, with medium alcohol and polyalcohols, medium (+) acidity and medium minerality. With mostly lemon flavors, it is very clean on the palate. Medium-bodied, with medium (+) intensity and length. Drink now, or within one or two years. Very well-made and elegant and balanced.
