April 7, 2012 - Tell-tale delicate nose with apple, pineapple, peach, honey and stones. Love it, always. On the palate a sweet, rich entry. Very ripe and tropical, followed by a lovely mineral, crisp and fresh element that prevents the wine from being 'cloying' at this stage. Slight hint of botrytis? Good finish, again with a mineral touch. This Auslese still is very young and really is about fruit now. But it is so darn tasty... Hard not to drink a full bottle in less than half an hour. For around 13 € local a great QPR, with room for improvement over the next years. Wunderschön!
