February 25, 2023 - I bought this during Spring Release 2022 at the Tempus tasting room in Walla Walla. The owner Joe (who is wonderful) was offering it at an incredible price for a library wine. He opened up a bottle for our group (8 people) 3 out of the 4 couples are members including myself and I was blown away. When I got home I put the bottles in my cellar and forgot about it until I was reorganizing and needed a bottle to pair with our homemade manicotti dinner tonight. I remember Joe telling us it was ready to drink and as much as I would love to keep this shelved I was curious if it was as good as I remembered or if I just had the “Spring Release Swoon” (a term for when everything tastes amazing because it’s Spring Release and you’re slightly over served). But it was better than I remembered! I’ve drank my fair share of Caymus, Silver Oak, Insignia, Stag’s and this can easily compete with the best. Bravo Joe!!

December 19, 2018 - I drank a bottle of this back in April of 2014, lets see how my notes compare...
Nose in 2014: cherry, raspberry, chocolate, & dirt
Nose in 2018: Earthy scents much bigger than the fruit now, getting that dirty, mossy, thing going, some black pepper, and Mexican style hot coco - little bit of the berries sneaking through
Taste in 2014: Dark cherry, tobacco - sticky mouthfeel
Taste in 2018: Big and bold, nice silky mouthfeel now. Still get the dark cherry, plus dark chocolate.
This is drinking much better now that in was in 2014, based on my notes. If you got one, crack it open and enjoy! -

November 10, 2015 - A 6 year old wine, I was expecting this to have some age like many other Walla Walla 09's. I'd had this a few years ago and was ok with it. Opening now, though, it was beautiful. Aromatics of a much younger wine, strong fruits and a plush amount of flavor on the palate. Much stronger than other recent showings.

April 20, 2014 - The highlight of a Tempus flight at a tasting. Agreeable, tasty, without flaws. Moderate oak treatment. Not sure about the QPR.
