February 2, 2017 - Pleasant palate, at its peak with the fruit beginning to recede and acid becoming a little more prominent.

January 8, 2017 - My last bottle from a case I bought a few years ago. Best evaluation is drawn from the fact that I'm sad to see this go. Nose is shy but with deep dark fruit and spices plus plum and white pepper. Palate is gorgeous with medium tannins, silky texture, balanced acidity, and a medium [+] finish. There is a chocolatey-earthy effect on the palate that's beautiful. Think of beans, steak, and rustic roasted vegetables. Love...

August 14, 2016 - Tempranillo tobacco and acidity nicely melded with merlot etc., to provide a mature dinner table accompaniment

Well balanced, tannins now interwoven with red berries, smoke and dark mineral. Not much earthiness, just enough to add an interesting note of gran reserva style complexity

    September 17, 2015 - Excellent wine.

July 1, 2015 - Complex, deep, and brooding wine with plum, leather, wet earth, black fruit, spice, and black tea. Very nice wine.
