April 24, 2024 - Yum. Grippy black fruit, coffee, green pepper, cedar, a big splash of acid especially on the finish. Dark fruit, light profile. Great age, fully mature. Drink now to 2028.

May 26, 2021 - Wow, this is so good. Full fruit with all the Cab Franc herbal and green overtones. Deep coffee, earth, mushroom, umami. Green pepper, dried oregano. Really in a great place maturity wise, this should be on a plateau till around 2026. Great acidic balance, great depth, length. A Chinon on the full, almost lush side. The barnyard won't be for everyone, but I love it.

December 27, 2020 - Blackberry and plum, still showing some freshness, followed by inky cassis and a touch of anise. Quite ripe, but with enough juicy acidity. The tannins are pretty much fully resolved, leaving a rather soft mouthfeel. The only knock is a somewhat short finish.

April 1, 2018 - Very good. May benefit from a little more time in bottle.

February 2, 2017 - Delicious. Full of dark, muddy, dirty, smokey black fruit. Some anise, mushroom, tobacco. Lighter notes too with flowers and dried herbs. Really in a great place, drinking well but no rush. Love it, this is just why I cellar mid-priced Chinon.
