October 7, 2021 - Dark ruby showing a hint of age. Nose is rather subtracted and only offers subdued wet forest floor and blueberry fruit. Palate is however beautifully balanced and full of dark fruit layered with strawberry and also showing some balsamico notes. I think this is a greatly made wine with savory and long dry finish. THis is a chianti flirting with the super Tuscan style of wine. A good vintage of this wine.

May 11, 2016 - Dark , almost black , long viscous legs. Cherry and mild barnyard, leather on opening. Tight yet velvety tannins. Very enjoyable, opened up throughout the night. Likely even better in 2-3 years.
