January 23, 2022 - 66% SB; 22% Muscadelle; 12% Sem; Mid orange-gold to the rim, the aromas penetrate with ripe orange, grapefruit, lime cordial and elderflowers.
Fresh, bracing acidity on entry but texturally relatively smooth, almost glassy for a Sauvignon Blanc-led wine with flavours of clementine pith, sliced oranges on toast, yellow flowers, apricot and oatmeal with a hint of spicy oak. The barley orange sugar suggests Semillon, and the ripe mango note confirms it. There is some richness but also a phenolic grip on the finish. The finish seems quite tannic, oddly with a chalk aspect, yet there is a generosity to round out the medium finish. Showing quite a bit of development, the wine has peaked, and there is a little bit of honey creeping in.

September 1, 2021 - Last of 6, but first one to be problematic - it was on the cusp of being oxidised. Time to drink up else you will be burned. I thought BdLB had dodged premox but evidently not. Very disappointing.

August 25, 2021 - Boys Night at 67 PM (67 Pall Mall, London): Its been 2 years since we had this last ( Papies 91) and a joy to cross paths with it again. Definitely undervalued beauty here and real value for money.
Bright and energetic still at 10yrs old, very much a sauvignon blanc nose now but on the palate is richer, honey notes and with a soft feel of oak. Very round and full wine and very charming. 92

May 13, 2020 - Not my usual tipple but this is delicious. The oak is in check and the smokey semillon shines through. A balanced, refreshing glass of wine with real energy. Feels like it’s drinking at its peak.

September 24, 2019 - Definitely a style we need to be having more and understated in both quality and price on wine lists ( Even at 67 Pall Mall, London that we had this) . Quite a bit of color here, bright citrus notes on the nose, grapefruit feel to start and ending in more richer tones of soft honey. Good ripe lush feel n palate and still very vibrant and well well with a variety of seafood starters. Rounder and fuller on palate than the nose suggested and full of charm and elegance. 91

August 25, 2017 - Straw coloured. Fairly reserved nose (too cold?) with hints of tropical fruits and development. Smooth in the mouth - slightly treacly. Decent length. A tad dilute? Not getting all that much on the palate. Even when the wine warmed up, it didn't really do it for me, I'm afraid.

February 5, 2017 - Had again a bottle last night with friends in combination with a raw, slightly spicy tuna tartar. Excellent! The wine in now very balanced, but still fresh.

September 3, 2016 - First time trying LB's blanc. I really liked its nose of passion fruit, mango and white flowers. Super fresh and perfect to pair with sushi.

April 28, 2016 - I really enjoyed this - lots of pinapple and other tropical and citruc fruit, nice golden colour with lots of new oak and easy to access fun. A refreshing wine, almost like a dry sauternes.
