This on is very good. Deliberately made in a very oxydative style. Like a Vin jaune. Mineralic, slender and long. Unique profile.

March 25, 2014 - Espagne et plus (Château St-Marc): Un vin très intéressant qui gagne en expression au fur et à mesure qu'il s'aérait et qu'il se réchauffait. Très bonne acidité, donc aucun problème pour les 5 prochaines années, même que le vin sera probablement plus intégré. En comparaison avec Les Graviers du même producteur, celui-ci nous a apparu moins expressif.
Autant au nez qu'en bouche, on sent l'oxydation, la pomme et la minéralité. La Jura est une région trop souvent ignorée, qui nous amène à tout coup hors de notre zone de confort.

Arômes prononcées de miel sauvage, de paille, de pomme sauvage.
Saveurs de pomme oxydées
Vin présentant plusieurs caractéristiques des vins naturels. Je n'aurais pu deviner le cépage ou j'aurais confondu pour du Chenin.
Je répéterais si le vin était moins de 25$, mais à 36$ non.
February 18, 2013 - No formal notes. Interesting and expressive nose of lemon, yeast, smoke, and smoky mineral. Racy on the palate with citrus fruit and a nice savory character below. Well balanced and good acidity. Improved with air over a couple hours. I really enjoyed this.
November 12, 2012 - White Jura Blind Tasting (My Home): Nice nose that took a little time to blossom. Perfumy, salty with lemon and pear. Smoky oak, very burgundian, elegant. Mineral.
On the palate it shows gentle oxidative notes, very good acidity, elegant and good freshness. Light anise with this fresh sensation, like fresh water on galet. This is really good. Finish slightly nutty. Really a pleasure to drink.
I thought this was a topped up savagnin. 13.5%
Old vines, 35-70 years, south facing vineyard, with clay on blue marl. 24 months in barrels with around 20% new.
June 27, 2012 - Jura whites: Some green colour. Green, pure and intense nose with root crops, thyme and detergent. Medium body, some residual Co2, residual sugar (15gr) and very spicy.
A challenging wine to judge. Not tasted anything like this before.
