As we all know, the bottle variations are more often due to the taster than the wine. Whatever the explanation, I'll report it as I experience it. ...Powerful nose of black fruit and floral elements. Relatively stiff tannins almost tame the floral bouquet. In a blind tasting I might have thought, Southern Rhone fruit but with firmer tannins. Not what I was looking for in a Mendoza malbec.

  August 3, 2012 - Dark garnet color. Lively nose of black cherry, black raspberry, and some earthy spice notes. Flavor starts full and then lightens some on the palate. Nicely balanced tannins and acidity, a noteworthy finish, and a wine I will go back to as an excellent Mendocino malbec.
