November 17, 2022 - Still aging nicely. Slightly off from the last bottle...I chalk it up to bottle variation

September 22, 2019 - A great example of what to expect from an older VN Riserva. Dry mouth and that dusty Sangiovese grape. Still fruity but the tannin is even up front now. melding with the tobacco and tart berry. The middle is mouthful dry and a slight fruit residual and the finish is all about a medium tart and dry black tea tannin that hangs on "forever"

January 13, 2018 - Drank over 3 days. Very nice spot right now. Nice ptq.

August 25, 2017 - In-your-face nose of Knorrs beef bouillon cubes (Salt, monosodium glutamate, hydrolyzed soy/corn/wheat gluten protein, hydrogenated cottonseed oil, beef fat, dehydrated vegetables (onions, carrots, parsley), beef extract, water, guar gum, colour, autolyzed yeast extract, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate, spices, tartaric acid, citric acid, hydrogenated soybean), which cuts right past the maraschino cherries, leather, and fresh cut wood that are also present to lesser degrees. This is a distinctive, high acid, idiosyncratic wine. Was initially put off by the rather odd bouquet, but once I got past that, I found it wasn't all that hard to drink, though the Knorrs is better QPR at $1.67 a box.

August 13, 2017 - Nothing wrong with it, but a little acidic, to the extent not even a fatty steak helped. Tasty enough but no real depth. I would not buy again.
