Community Tasting Notes 11

June 23, 2021 - Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; Bordeaux right bank (@ RW): In the bouquet creamy red and black berries. On the palate the same fruits, chocolate, good acidity and mild tannin which is still a bit edgy. The wine probably needs more air time. 88 – 89+

March 13, 2021 - Perfectly aged with coffee, leather, ripe plums. Lovely aromas but the structure caresses even better with body and acid in full harmony and the tannins soft and magnetic.

September 14, 2019 - Drank a few weeks ago but forgot to write a note. Can’t remember the details but it was excellent. Drinking well after a 90 min decant

October 2, 2018 - Decanted two hours. Velveteen texture with black and plum fruit. Elegant, excellent.

(Couvent des Jacobins) Very dark red violet color; appealing, red currant, herbaceous, olive nose; tasty, poised, herbaceous, red currant, olive, classic Bordeaux palate with medium acidity; medium-plus finish (85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc; 14% alcohol; 3.72 pH; 2 grams RS) 90+ points
