March 16, 2024 - Ruby red, med weight, pale rim.
Ripe red cherry fragrance, hint of blueberry, gentle spice, not much evidence of development.
Bright red cherry flavour, blueberry essence, floral, with a dark spicy edge. Structure is light to medium bodied, relatively soft and not overly intense. silky middle, finishing with fine chalky tannins. Overall impression is positive, not a powerhouse but drinks well, no need for further aging.

February 17, 2024 - First of a six pack. PnP but drank over several hours and it gained in complexity. Pretty aromatics, red fruited, spicy and airy. Decent structure and texture. The tannins are still a little chewy and not quite integrated yet. This is definitely open for business but I suspect will get quite a bit better.

February 15, 2024 - big and oaky but not giving up much more than that. a bit non-descript and completely leveled by the 08 de Montille Cuvee Christiane which it was blindly pared against. HOLD; if must drink i suggest a long decant.

January 20, 2024 - I felt like a really fine burgundy last night and I opened this one up. All I forgot was that I have had a cold all week and been sucking on Cold Eze which has eliminated most of my taste buds. Oh well...........

September 27, 2023 - Pretty good right out of the gate on PnP. Totally red ruby, no browning or other sign of age; good viscosity. Nose is pretty, delicate, roses and cherries, with a restrained sweetness. Same on the palate, except it also has good grip and earthiness to give substance to the fruit. Fine wine, and, as far as Burgundy prices go, a decent value. I love the fact that French Pinot lacks the overt sweetness of too many California wines made with the same grape. 5-13-16-8: 92/100.
