April 7, 2007 - Reddish plum in color with a faint hint of bricking at the edges. Clear but not brilliant, maybe unfiltered? Great nose of plum and raspberry with notes of vanilla and spice. Palate of cherry and blackberry with some dried fruit notes evolved over 4 hours with flavors of blueberry, raspberry and plum throughout the night. Wine is medium bodied and perfect for those who like a more mature and subdued zin. Had nice mature tannins and a great finish with some black licorice, brambles and tart plum. Little bit of sediment at the bottom, these are ready to drink now rather than later.
