April 28, 2019 - Fantastic floral nose. Just explodes from the glass. Easily my favorite part of the wine. The palette, while delicious, doesn't quite deliver on the promise of the nose - blackberry and white pepper, with fully integrated tannin. I feel like this one could have used another three years to fill out on the palette and gain some complexity. The 06 was better, but this was still delicious.

June 10, 2012 - Got a small taste after this bottle was accidentally opened to include in a sauce for the duck ragu. Not as good as previous vintages, classic Napa Sangiovese. Some bright cherry, vanilla, fruit forward, a bit of earth. Good, but not great.
