April 17, 2016 - MW Institute 2011 Bordeaux Tasting: Pencil, ash and tobacco aromas. Sweeter fruit elements on the palate, the structure doesn't really feel like it is there for this to be a very long term wine, but it's pretty good to drink in the shorter term.

January 20, 2016 - Institute of Masters of Wine - 2011 Bdx Tasting (Hyatt, San Francisco): I blinded this as a St Estephe. Rather green cabernet aromas. Tannic.

September 2, 2014 - This is too thin and one-dimensional to merit a higher score from us. Still: delicious and too expensive.
    Tasted at the Chateau.

May 17, 2014 - Quite expressive nose, oaky, floral, ripe fruit. Pretty sweet and upfront, firm structure and good length. 88-90

January 27, 2014 - There's a definite chewy or grainy quality to the tannins here, but it's not overdone and I think there's a real balance and classical style to the wine underneath. A good effort for the vintage.

(Château Rauzan-Gassies (Margaux)) A darkly coloured wine in the glass, with a deeply coloured core and bright rim. There are slightly chalky tones to the fruit, the texture lean, slightly oily, with chalky red fruits, just ripe, lacking a little in concentration too. A moderate structure carried fairly well by what meagre flesh there is but it still lacks substance and composition overall.
