    December 18, 2023 - Kjøpt hos produsent på vestbank tour i sommer. Servert til hjort og familieselskap. Lite notater. Flott og kraftig vin med solbær og blyantspiss.

    November 2, 2023 - Ruby appearance on its way to garnet, getting a bit lighter and translucent.
    A classic haut medoc nose opening a bit dusty as always. followed by cassis, cherry, clove, cedar and nutmeg. Even noticed a stable smell which was not disruptive.
    Juicy palate with red to black fruits. The tertiary aromas are less dominant on the palate and the fruits lingers through the mid palate molding in a somewhat dryish finish with tannines still present but far from dominant. No greenness in this bottle.
    A medium + finish, years in the tank and cases in the cellar ;-)

    March 31, 2023 - The Myth
    I bought this en primeur in the post 2010 gold rush. Needless-to-say it’s not appreciated in value and I have paid a decade of storage on it. At the time Parker gave it a very high rating, 91 I think. Whilst it’s not been on the radar much as a chateau, it’s always as a solid cru, just not anything spectacular. It’s also northern Medoc in a cool year….. so not expected a lot.
    The Reality
    Still vibrant on the nose, with a cedar, secondary fruit character. Surprisingly ripe, still with some tannic grip, acidity quite high, but not overly so. Dry and quite long. Overall a bit workman-like, but really quite delicious in a straight up and down way. I like it.

    March 11, 2023 - Robe rubis dense;
    Nez austère, en un bloc, principalement sur des parfums de cassis, de graphite, de poivron grillé & de fumée. Il y a une légère dimension florale qui adouci l'ensemble.
    La bouche est tout assi austère & sévère que le nez, principalement sur des notes de cassis, d'épices & de graphite. Bonne structure, acidité bien présente, amertume omniprésente en milieu-fin de bouche. Les tannins sont nombreux & bien asséchant. Bref, il manque p-ê un peu de rondeur pour diminuer la sévérité générale de la bouche...

    March 5, 2023 - Better than the reviews indicate. Drinkable now vs some older vintages not yet integrated.
