Community Tasting Notes 3

September 16, 2015 - 2009 was a hot year. Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Very deep garnet color, fading just a bit at the edges. Rich nose of red and black fruits, coffee notes, white pepper, roasted vanilla. Full-bodied on the palate, with black fruit compote leading. Finishes fast with some heat, light tannins. A little cooked, but drinkable.

October 22, 2013 - Coffee, chocolate, cherries dipped in chocolate, slightly high-toned somewhere around the middle, with a goodly amount of alc. on the finish. Ok.

April 5, 2013 - Tart red fruit on entry, some spiciness at the mid palette. Juicy, refreshing, reasonable concentration of fruit. Moderate oak, medium finish, slightly tannic.
