July 7, 2015 - Perhaps 91. Opened 5 days ago, and showing no signs of oxidation in an open bottle-just some development. This is much better (or just showing some more mature elements) than a bottle consumed last year which seemed lightweight and unassuming. Spicy, tart black cherry and earth, with some high-toned violet and good minerality. This shows the potential of this fantastic vintage.

September 30, 2013 - Paired very nicely with baked salmon with herbs cooked in olive oil. Very fine and near-resolved tannins and hints of secondary characteristics tinge this wine which is just starting to show the earliest signs of fading in color on its edges. There is a hint of secondary complexity over a nicely put together frame of strawberry and cherry. A tiny bit of (good) rusticity sets it off nicely as it carries adequate acidity. Not particularly complex, but for the AOC (Chassagne-Montrachet rouge) it delivers and does so very well. I like the 2010's.

August 8, 2013 - High-toned mineral inflected Pinot fruit on the nose followed by tart red plum and red cherries on the palate. Sharp acid but well-balanced by the ripe but restrained fruit. This is fun Pinot, approachable now, amd just a great drink. Not very serious, but certainly multidimensional, and showcases just how good the 2010s can be, especially at this price point. Consumed over two days.
