January 1, 2024 - Playfull already from start, in comparison to Angerville P C 2010 I had to compare, fruit on the lighter red side, good complexity and such a great balance. Very clean, pure fruit, good length. Very Volnay on its expresison.

August 18, 2023 - This took a while to open up -- initially a touch brooding with more funk than florals. After an hour or two, the Volany and 2010 character was more on display. Nice red fruit and florals made complex by some earth tones. Plush, silky fruit. Very early peak drinking window.

November 11, 2020 - Big, structured, and balanced with pure red fruit and a slight mineral edge. Very open but still primary. I like the style. Hold.

May 24, 2020 - Lots of Brett initially had me concerned but a 2 hr decant seemed to solve it or maybe I just wanted to forget about it. Drank more like a pommard, deep and dark. Full bodied really. Still quite alive and tannic like many 2010. Dark cherry, dark raspberry, earth and mushrooms. Very much a burgundy though not light nor feminine like some expect of a volnay.
