May 4, 2012 - Golden color. Nose is rich; cooked apples and pears, brioche, some subtle honey. Very complex and mature aromas. Palate is siimilar with less toast, nuts, and acid than I would have expected. Appropraite bubbles for a 1990. Mature fruits flavors but lacking complexity. A good nostalgic drink and certainly a nice price compared to the other 1990s out there. Comparatively, the 1990 Heidsieck blows it away but for three times the price.
