    May 7, 2019 - From 375ml
Color is starting to turn golden.
Nice botritis and honeycomb on the nose.
palate is nicely complex and sweet with that botritis spice and a nice clean finish. Acidity is spot on.
    Would buy again.

May 6, 2019 - Nice honey, papaya, apricot and maybe some fig in the aroma. Loaded with tropical fruits on the palette, mango/pineapple and loads of creaminess, honey and a bit of vanilla spice. Nice long finish to savor all of the wonderful nuances of the fruit in this wine. An outstanding wine.

April 27, 2019 - Perhaps the corkiest young wine I've encountered.

February 20, 2019 - Guiraud is to Sauternes as Dehlinger is to Russian River winemaking. Always great value and always superb quality!
This is syrupy (without being cloying) with beautifully structured honey, pineapple and mango notes...super concentrated.
I've found I like the Guiraud Sauternes better at seven or eight years of age, as beyond that they lose some of their brightness and become more muted and nutty tasting.
No aeration necessary here, just PnP. From a 375ml bottle and, unusual for me, I finished the bottle in one evening...another testament to how much I enjoyed this.
If you are like me, drink this now, if you prefer a more mature, aged version of Sauternes you can wait as this has many years to go. Another superb effort from this consistently great producer.

(Château Guiraud (Sauternes)) Residual sugar 140 g/l, total acidity 3.8 g/l. Great, open fruit definition on the nose here, bright and defined, with a lemon-plum sorbet-like richness and freshness to it. The palate is sweet and full of yellow-golden fruit and underneath this there is a really deep grip from the botrytis. This is fresh and clean but is destined to be a very rich and golden style I think. Lots of energy underpinning it as well, with plenty of acid vibrancy to match this character. A rich and deep finish.

(Château Guiraud (Sauternes)) Such lovely aromatics here! A nose of purity and freshness, the hallmarks of 2011, with suggestions of pear, fresh quince, flower petals and citrus tones. The palate is soft, lively and harmonious. Poured a little too warm sadly, thereby stopping the definition of the midpalate showing through, but the flourish of vibrant flavours on the finish are certainly convincing. Attractive, a little oaky through the middle too, but overall very promising. This is very impressive and it indicates yet again what a strong vintages this is for the sweet wines.
