February 11, 2024 - I think this Chateau is the most underrated of all the 5th Grand Cru Classé wines.
I won't complain, because thanks to that I could buy this gem for just 26€.
Let's get to the business.

This wine has all the attributes of the Paulliac AOC.
Sweet aromas of blackberry, black cherry, smoke, cedar, black currant.
Taste?
It's about the same! Plus nice spice. But perfect acidity and tannins ( I think this juice is at its peak), balance and harmony, highly drinkable and sophisticated...and do you remember my remarks about one more important factor?

2011 vintage got 88 points according to the WA Vintage Guide. Above Average to Excellent. Early maturing and accessible.
