January 23, 2016 - I've held this wine since 2006 and thought perhaps it might have been mishandled along the way, but it did not disappoint. Five mins after decanting the tannins laid low and the lingering, layered and complex finish delivered on expectations. Recommendations were to drink 2009-2015, so I did, but this would have lasted another 5-10 years. Thanks Bob for the Napa Bachelor Debauchery Tour back in 2006.

April 25, 2014 - Compared blind with the Boswell 2004 and an RdV. This wine came in last (but for PMB). This is without any doubt an off bottle. With the Smileys sometime in spring or summer of 2014. With burgers.

April 4, 2011 - blk cherry on the nose, then pomegranate, juniper (the edgy juniper in youth well subsided). Aged well and peaking. Earthy nutmeg, soy, raw coconut. Superfine tannins, nicely toned muscular fruit: well balanced, mouthfilling and palate coating.

May 24, 2009 - A well-structured and integrated wine despite its youth; not heavy on the fruit; reminded me why cab is so good when it's good. We did not decant/aerate; it seemed a little soft when we poured from the glass, so just left in bottle for 3-4 hours.
