February 2, 2022 - served 30 minutes after decanting. Initially muted on the nose, opened a little after 45 minutes in decanter, and after 1 hour in decanter it got better but still not great. Showed some black cherries, dried herbs, and a little sweetness on the palate. Light-bodied and somewhat elegant.

January 7, 2020 - Amazing wine. Supposedly 9 years past it's drinking window!?! This has been stored immaculately and was full, dark and rich with a hint of cherry. Proof that the best SQN pinots can last for a very long time. Have a few more of these and some magnums and will try again on the rare occasion I drink a red. Only came across these as we were tidying up ahead of a move, what a find!!

July 12, 2015 - Impressive wine. Everybody agreed that is was a US Pinot. Half guessed Oregon and half California, all were right. Showed much younger, in very good shape. Some darker forest floor but still fresh.

October 11, 2012 - Sine Qua Non the Cult of Cults; 10/10/2012-10/11/2012 (Roberson Wine, South Ken, London & The Square, London): Pinot Noir it seems does not handle well the heavy handed approach of SQN. Forest floor notes, mature fruit on the nose. Sweet feel on the plate and gfeels passed and old. Generally a very poor wine and other than the funky artwork on the bottle it has nothing to offer. Stay away would be our note. 80

October 11, 2012 - A taste of SQN (Roberson, Kensington, London): Thick, alcoholic, a bit medicinal, some acid there, but not enough to counteract the heat. Some pinot character but cardboardy and dull.
