January 5, 2024 - Nose was somewhat closed upon opening, but with an hour or so of air the black cherry, baking spice and sweet cassis were on display. Great cocoa and smoked cedar notes as well. Palate is now showing elegant airy quality, and seamless feel. Nice dark berry, loam, gravel, licorice and cedar notes. The Morisoli notes are front and center while the mineral notes of Lewelling support the structure of the wine.

Really well made and under appreciated wines. Too bad this label has been purchased as a brand and prices were run up. This kind of quality will not be seen here again anytime soon.

December 19, 2021 - Really excellent wine. Cork was a bit dry but the wine was still solid

April 22, 2017 - Decanted... with first glass after 90+ minutes. Nice nose of plum lavender and spice. Palate was rich, earthy, with sour cherry, plum, and blackberry flavors. Smooth, fine grain tannins still carry through into the medium finish. Very enjoyable... and held up very well on Day two.

April 21, 2017 - Drank at dinner with friends at Hog Snappers in North Palm Beach. Deep garnet red. Nose of blackberry, black cherry and cedar. Taste is similar but blackberry and tart raspberry are more prominent. Medium tannins give it a nice dryness. Medium acidity mostly on a smooth chalky finish. Medium to long finish, probably good for several more years.
