Community Tasting Notes 5

September 29, 2017 - Nice Pinot fruit with solid spice and some licorice on the long and syrupy finish.
Too thick and sweet for my taste, but this is a well made Cali Pinot that will drink well through 2020.

August 15, 2015 - This is drinking nicely again. Much improved since my last bottle. Medium bodied with cherry and cranberry notes with a hint of spice. This has the structure you would expect from a Burgundy, yet, is as easy drinking as typical Sonoma Pinot. I've enjoyed drinking 3 bottles of this over the past 3 years and thought I enjoyed it the most first time around as the 2nd bottle was a bit of a disappointment. My last bottle was a true pleasure.

October 5, 2014 - I am a bigger fan of this wine than what others have posted. Had with pizza and think this is a great pinot. There are others that are better for 1/2 the price no doubt but this one hit hit the spot tonight with pizza on the Big Green Egg.

July 5, 2014 - I really enjoyed this wine when first consumed at a Sinskey dinner a couple of years ago. Seems to have lost a lot if it's fruit and structure since then. Still a solid lighter style Pinot (think mid level Burgundy) however, I won't let my last bottle sit around much longer.

October 4, 2012 - A strong sour cherry flavor with some deep forest floor finishes. My favorite of this year's pinots at Robert Sinskey's.
