June 29, 2015 - Somewhat closed upon P&P, with olives being the predominate fragrance and I was initially disappointed with the palate, thinking that perhaps it was on a downhill trip. After an hour, it had much more prominent dark fruit (still plenty of olives) on the nose and the palate. Closed bottle after 2 hours and covered with Argon. Day 2, the fruit was quite apparent, the mouthfeel was silky, and it was a delightful match for rare/medium rare rack of lamb with garlic, rosemary, sesame seeds, which raised my score to 92. Really nice wine which took forever to open up to my taste.

October 16, 2012 - Italy 2012; 10/6/2012-10/23/2012: Tasted and bought at the fort in Montalcino. 1 of 2 picked out of a lineup of 10+ tasted
(the bottle I used to restore core body temperature after the "swim" :) at the villa)
Takes some air to bring out a classical BdM nose
Some nice, fresh black fruit--black cherry & plum. Starting to develop some secondary flavors. Olive.
Plenty of tannin and acidity to carry on, but drinkable now
