November 14, 2015 - NK 1989 Barolo Dinner (Dovetail Restaurant, NYC): [Double-decanted at 2pm.] Amazingly intense black fruit nose. Rich black and red fruit. Penetrating and intense. Still young with at least 20 good years ahead. WOTN so far. My original note contains the word "amazing" 3 times. Wish I owned some of this. Ridiculously good wine.

October 5, 2012 - NK Cappellano Vertical (Maialino, Gramercy Park Hotel, NYC): Stunning nose of ripe red fruits, spice, and balsam. Thick, rich, tannic. Great harmony and balance. Really shows the vintage character well. Wish I owned some of this. 98-100
