February 21, 2024 - Wow lasting extremely well. Big dark dense wine hardly showing over 20 years age, more like 10. Lovely nose of dark berry fruits, dark plum, some violet, cedar vanilla and spice notes. Great impact in the mouth from soft but significant tannins (was well decanted hours earlier), gorgeous dark berry and plum fruit, great acidity, very much a cabernet and friends profile with a little hit of sweetness mid-palate. Hugely enjoyable, great length, still going strong no hurry to drink good bottles but very enjoyable now.
