Community Tasting Notes 26

August 2, 2013 - Similar to last notes, with more dark chocolate covered cherries dominating the mid-plate and that is very nice. Not a fruit bomb but you notice an underlying layer of dark fruit, licorice and mushrooms as well as dried fruit. Can't believe it has actually improved since last time. Very smooth and nice medium length finish. 90+. Too bad was my last bottle since it took quite some cellaring time to really come through. I thought it was on its last legs six months ago but it really came thorugh.

June 25, 2013 - Cellared since release. PnP. At first this was just fruity, but air let the high toned and upfront fruit evolve into a pleasant wine. It was overshadowed by many others that evening, but if you like fruit bombs, seek this one out and give it an hour of air. Drink now!

January 13, 2013 - It is still drinking well and has put on weight since my last tasting in 2011. It is now full bodied, dark fruits though a bit muted, licorice, dried currants and touch of tobacco. Some acidity still evident on the finish. Very soft almost non-perceptible tannins, but good mouthfeel. If not for the Somewhat muted fruit - would have increased rating to 90.

December 10, 2011 - Very smooth and silky- medium weight. Mix of red and some black fruits and soft tannins. Aerated and decanted. Did improve some after an hour - a bit more fruit. Easy to drink on its own or with food. But I think it is peaking and on its last leg. Don't expect it to improve much more with age.

May 14, 2011 - Last of the line. At first, thin, delicate nose, but not much of a treat for the palate. As expected, it put on weight, but not that much, and still resulted in a MOR Bordeaux experience.. Plenty o' fruit, resolved tannins and a lovely finish of blackberry. What a fraking bargain this turned out to be!
