June 28, 2011 - From a double magnum, this wine has a garnet color that is very deep. It has dark cherries, with hints of plum, spice, and earth. Tannins have resolved and fruit still hides the 14% etoh. It's perfect now from this size bottle.

May 7, 2011 - I normally love PG, but the 2003 vintage is not doing it for me. Maybe I got a bad lot of bottles? And now it's getting over the hill.

December 13, 2008 - Another amazing '03 OPN! It has a well hidden 14% etoh tucked 'tween the very ripe black fruit, some earth and a little spice. Crazy big for a pinot and nice tribute to the guy next door to Patty ---> Mike Etzel of Beaux Freres. Lots of time.

March 28, 2008 - This wine has fully matured and is drinking a fine nectar. It must be at its best drink-up over next one or two years.

August 19, 2007 - Had at a BBQ with 6 freinds, quite a few bottles of wine were consumed that night, eight to be exact. We had a couple of Stevenson-Barrie's, a Kenwood Zin, a too young 2005 Panter Creek Freedom Hill, and a Sokol Blosser blend "M", which was a nice break from all the pinots. This was a very ggod bottle, big wine, robust flavor, good with or without food. We had tri tip and lamb.
