  August 19, 2019 - Something was off with my bottle. Nose was familiar tempernillo, palate on the other hand - started off with some plum and cherry flavors, but had an incredibly puckering finishing, wouldn't call it long, but rather excessively strong. Almost to the point of undrinkable. Thinking I missed the window on this wine.

  July 20, 2018 - Rather funky on opening - not quite corked, although there is something musty in the funk. Palate is bold plum with leaves and herbs.
  
  On second thought - with air it initially got better but then the corked nature became more and more clear. Bummer.

  ETA: Having it sit for a bit certainly improved it quite a bit. I'm glad it had the chance to sit for a while, since it opened up pleasantly.

  December 12, 2015 - Consistent again. Wonderful nose, well integrated tannins, strong blue fruit, sage, smoke, and leather, with a long finish. Has aged very well.
