August 9, 2013 - Woodinville Tasting w/jrockman & JerryL: My favorite of the tasting flight (this was echoed by one of the other tasters). Very tart on the palate - get black pepper, hints of berries, tannic on the finish. Too young to drink now - would give it at least another 5 years (and wouldn't be surprised if it held up for 10-15).

March 28, 2013 - Very nice, if not as great as past vintages. As usual with Januik, a good amount of oak, a bit more than I like, but integrated nicely.

A moderately aromatic wine with dark berries, mesquite, chocolate, mineral notes, and a whiff of pepper. The palate has soft fruit flavors and gauzy tannins, showing impeccable restraint.
