    December 6, 2016 - Colour Pink and Garnet , pale , some cloudiness 14/15
Nose excellent complexity, red fruits dominant with strawberry ,red cherry redcurrant , balanced with spice and smoke 29/30
Palate pale colour does not mean low intensity of flavour here, excellent intensity, excellent balance of fruit strawberry and cherries, some cassis gamey earthy mushroom flavours , smooth finish excellent balance between acid/tannins/fruit 42/44
Overall 5 years old now and only just starting to develop some tertiary characters . Most enjoyable now 9/11

October 7, 2016 - The is clear and pale garnet in colour.
The nose is clean with pronounced flavours of black fruit (black cherry, cassis), red fruit (red cheery, red currant), oak (smoke, clove), spice (liquorice), tertiary development (game, earth). The wine is developing.
The palate is dry with high acidity, medium ripe tannins, medium (+) alcohol, medium (+) body, pronounced intensity flavours of black cherry, cassis, smoke, liquorice, game, earth. The finish is medium (+) length.
The wine is very good quality. The fruit is concentrated with some complexity, just balancing the oak, the acid keeps it fresh. The finish is perhaps a little short.
The wine can be drunk now but is suitable for further ageing (next 5 years) - it has the primary fruit concentration and acidity to allow further tertiary development, which would also allow the oak to continue to integrate.
Still, a very fine bottle of NZ Martinborough Pinot that is drinking very nicely already.

June 5, 2016 - Rich, sweet fruit aroma. Enjoyed more second day. It had lost structure, softened. Strawberry palette, ripe, mineral, orange, (not quite) pomegranate. Sloes. This will get better.

October 17, 2015 - glengarry pinot tasting; 10/16/2015-10/18/2015 (glengarry thorndon): sweet fruit and vibrant acidity, long finish. more accessible than the 2010
