March 24, 2019 - Medium purple going garnet. Earthy fruit and spice. Green cedar and toasted hazelnuts. Palate is nicely balanced fruit and earthy spice. Blackberry and cassis with a touch of licorice. Long strong finish.

August 19, 2017 - Our neighbors shared this with us when we stopped by on 8/19/17. It had a deep, fragrant and exotic bouquet of smoked meat, blackberry, black raspberry, plum and Asian Spice aromas. The palate was rich, dense and tasty with flavors that followed the nose. 91+

    June 27, 2016 - rich and good
stood up well to wild salmon on the grill with a taku rub
I would have to say shut down a year ago vs. a bad bottle

(L'Ecole No. 41 Syrah Columbia Valley) Very aromatically distinct with wet stone, blueberry jam, chocolate, and dried cherries. The palate is rich and full bodied with dry tannins and tart fruit flavors, finishing a bit short. Shows some heat. 80% Syrah, 20% Grenache. Candy Mountain, StoneTree, Alder Ridge, and Bacchus vineyards. Aged 18 months in small oak barrels. 15% alcohol. 2,430 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.
