  September 27, 2016 - I agree 1000% with Claw dee puss. I would only add that i felt it was somewhat angular and aggressive on the palate with i acidity. As much hype as the wine steward at the store in Portugal gave me on this wine it was disappointing. Now, having said that, was it too young? should it have been decanted? These are answers I don't have. So, we drank it at dinner with friends so I didn't have my usual researchers analytical hat on and it may be I'm being completely unfair to this wine.

  April 17, 2016 - 4 hour decant. 14%. Só Alicante Bouschet.
  I rarely spend this much, other than in a restaurant, on a single bottle of wine, but I've been enjoying AB over the last few months, so I thought I'd give this a go - deep purple - hot and grape in the nose - quite big in the mouth - blackberry, dark sour cherry - huge finish.
  To be sure this is a fine wine - but worth the price tag? Not even close - there are wines equally (or more) enjoyable that I can buy 3 of for the price of this single one.
