Community Tasting Notes 1

  • DBdeParis Likes this wine:

August 26, 2023 - Decanted off modest amount of sediment 2 hours in advance - way too little for a Tours wine but what circumstances allowed. Nose a bit subdued at first. Palate shows abundant fine tanins, still some remnant acidity to balance. Flavors a bit roasted. After another 2 hours and some swirling this starts to hit its stride. A melange of slightly roasted dark fruits hits the nose with a whiff of Tours garrigue. Dark cherry emerges on the palate. When the French mother-in-law asked for a glass refill and studied the bottle that says something extraordinary. Classic Tours bottle finishing note: last sip the best. Our last bottle will meet its demise this fall when harvest permits...
