Community Tasting Notes 2

July 12, 2006 - Day 2 - finishing the bottle. Nose is now more evolved and reminds me of an apple that has browned, having been cut open too long. Sweet, caramely notes on the nose wich do follow through on the palate but are then overwhelmed by the acidity that washes over the tongue. Still good, but would recommend drinking fresh rather than holding back.

July 11, 2006 - Bright and clear, the wine showed no signs of ageing and was almost clear. The nose was lemons and grass which followed through on the palate but with a lime character and clear notes of elderflower. Good acidity and off-dry, green apple flavours washing around to leave a very refreshing feeling that really lasted. However, slightly lacking in the mid palate leaving a nagging doubt that this was not quite the complete package. Reasonable vfm at £8.50 and a wine to try again in future.
