  January 4, 2019 - Good, well-blended wine. The fruit is not as evident as with previous bottles. Likely on the downslope, but still a delicious accompaniment to spare ribs dinner.

  February 8, 2017 - Really coming around. This is a very well-balanced, delicious wine. Nose a bit reserved, the palate is perfectly blended. Interestingly, there isn't anything standing out -- fruit, tannin, acid. It's just a fine accompaniment.

  December 27, 2014 - Double decanted 30 minutes before. Needs food. Smoothed out over the next hour. Same notes as before: bigger than most CdR. Complemented a lamb stew. Richer and deeper black and red fruits than the 2010 Mon Couer we had with this.

  November 22, 2014 - Very nice wine, certainly for the price. Initially some off nose and flavor, but after decanting really came together. Bigger than a typical CdR, with dark fruits in the center. Enjoyed with a rosemary-enhanced lamb stew and winter veggies. Not clear whether this will continue to develop. We gassed the last half of the bottle. Let's see what it does in a couple of days.
