January 8, 2012 - Some pretty currant flavors still peeking through a veil of earth and must.

December 14, 2008 - On first opening this was terrible. Tasted like wood, weeds, aspirin and bitter. After being open just a few minutes a roasted or toasty quality did show, especially in the nose. There is some earth and funk in that nose as well. As for the palate, a hint of green and mineral, reminiscent of Chinon along side a very subtle raspberry in the background. Had a good glass of this but that green came back really strong and the tannins became very astringent. I cannot really enjoy this currently.
