August 2, 2019 - Deep ruby, fruit forward, concentrated. Blackberry, dark cherries and plum. Dark fruits, tobacco on the palate. Well integrated tannins in a savory finish. NI:4, FI: 22, FC:8, B:4, L:3

May 13, 2019 - MNB: Left Bank Bdx Communes (Home (Noe st)): (non-blind - my wine)
Medium plus ruby, slight red at the rim.
Medium intensity nose. Coffee (oak and pyrazines), medium intensity ripe bell pepper (pyrazines), slight ripe blackcurrant. Slight mushroomy brett - warm and vaguely horsey.
Dry, 14% alcohol, medium acid, medium tannins (still a bit papery / rustic). Medium plus finish - leather, slight cedar.
Overall, seems straight down the middle Bordeaux, but quite pyrazinic for 2009. Less ripe grapes? It's a bit austere on the palate, especially given the vintage. Shows only the faintest hint of development - softened tannins, faintly savory fruit. A bit baked and low in acid - signs of the vintage?

    30% new French oak
    58% merlot, 42% cab
The main wine (brane-cantenac) was 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 7% Cabernet Franc

March 19, 2018 - Surprisingly fresh & fruity. Not overly complex but typical Margaux characteristics. Overall a very pleasant wine and still plenty of life in it.

February 25, 2018 - Has improved from my last tasting ~ 3 years ago and was good on night 1 and 2.

Dark red color with a clear meniscus. Red currants, black cherry, cherry, cedar and nice floral undertones on nose. Medium body, medium acids, well integrated tannins and long finish. Good from PNP and good on night 2 as well. 91+/-
