March 23, 2021 - I didn't taste this when younger. Now it's close to maturity and has lovely flavour and super balance. It is just barely recognizable as Australian. This is good and a couple of years can only improve it. Screw cap. I'm pleased that I have a couple more that were left with us when we had guests.

August 21, 2016 - Really liked this wine. Good fruit but not over baring. Big bodied but no oak. Nice wine and will give my other bottle a year or two.

June 21, 2015 - I'm not a fan of typical Aussie Shiraz, or rather the stereotype of the overwrought fruit-'n'-oak bomb that's like a punch in the taste buds, so it's nice to come across a Shiraz that's more like a Syrah, savoury and restrained but pleasantly fruity as well. And this version is just that, a combination of worlds old and new with ample fruit such as blackberry, cherry, plum, and redcurrant drenched in tons of black pepper (maybe too much) accented by garrigue and just a touch of meatiness. This is a wine that, if overly tart, admirably avoids excess, and while it goes well with food (as it says it was made for, specifically game), it's a really nice expression of the varietal on its own. It's just too bad it's way overpriced (over $35 at the LCBO).

August 18, 2013 - Drank at The Wine Odyssey in Sydney (The Rocks). Pretty in the glass, lots of ripe red fruit and pepper on the palate. Smooth with a nice mouth feel, was a very pleasant way to start the afternoon. If scoring 90-92.
