November 3, 2015 - I love it after first sip. Very good daily wine. Cheep. But unfortunetly can not buy any in UK. Mayby someone knows where or how to buy it ( so desperate can buy online or from EU).

April 20, 2013 - cheap, drinkable, but producers want to fool you because 1997 is not Vintage, and taste is not cabernet sauvignon

November 3, 2012 - I gave this one a 90 because I was actually fooled for a moment to think it was actually a 1997 Vintage. However, I'm not disappointed in the least! We live in E.Europe and there is an amazing selection to choose from here at reasonable prices. This bottle goes for less than 3 euro but I'd gladly pay much more for it.
Czechs and Slovaks are more into their beer and support their own vineyards, so they seem to have a bias to outside markets which drives down prices here and makes wine exports very competitive. So, there is a wide variety to choose from. We find ourselves drinking mostly Hungarian and French wines for "daily" table wines but when my wife discovered this she was in love. We've had the usual sweeter Moldovan wines which are ok, but for some reason we find this one amazing. To an amateur taster like myself, we find it more like a really mellow instead of a semi-sweet as labeled. It is a Cabernet that doesn't really taste like a Cab...but we absolutely love it and ended up buying 3 cases of it at CARE-FORE (a French retail grocery chain here in Slovakia and other EU countries).

Very fruity and very mellow. It is not THAT sweet...it has a hint of tartness or settling aftertaste that gives it a note of Cabernet...and that's PERFECT as otherwise it would just be a red-sweet wine.
I think it has notes of raspberry or blueberry or something. Definitely not dry at all.

I also did at first think I'd bought a 1997 vintage....but I should know better. However we've bought (and consumed) LOTS of it and we're not disappointed at all. Each bottle does have a production date on it and this particular lot is dated as 03.08.2012.
Yes, as someone said it is just the time the vineyard was founded. I've never had a wine which I felt was so wholesome. If we ever go to Moldova we'd like to make it one of the vineyards to visit.
Any additional info on this company would be appreciated.

I would have to say that even with a low price and lack of vintage I think it is one of the BEST wines I've ever tasted and we're lucky to have it on our table regularly.
This is GOOD wine, not tasting like mass produced junk and over the past three months it has turned into our family label.
    Cheers.

July 6, 2012 - I have been living in Poland, mostly Warsaw, for the past 4-5 months. The girlfriend and I have been knocking this stuff down day in and day out. First, it is decent, quite decent in fact. A bit on the softer side, but not sweet. Nicely balanced. It benefits from a bit of breathing and is also interestingly different with a little chill on it. Second, it is cheap, about 17-18 PLN a bottle (just about 6 USD). It is half or a third of the price of recognizable plonk (e.g., Gallo), and it is not plonk.

One caution. The date 1997 is displayed prominently on the front label, in the space where the vintage would normally be. In fact, when I first saw this wine, it was on sale, and I thought "Wow, a '97 for $6, what a deal, even if it is from Moldova". Well, 1997 is the year the vineyard was founded. Lord knows what year or month the wine was actually produced.

Regardless, if you are going to be in a place for an extended period where this wine is available and you are looking for an "everyday drinker" and can do not find something reliable definitely check it out.
