October 24, 2023 - Bottle 080076 bottled at the chateau sold by A. Lalande & Co. Capsule was a perfect seal but cork was wet pretty much to top. Made a poor job of extracting the cork with a Durand, last section broke off.
Colour was good with browning towards the edge.
Nose included instant coffee, mushroom, leather, earth (weeding daisies from a lawn), green pepper, mulberry and vegetable extract (vegemite).
In the mouth, it was well balanced, light alcohol, medium acidity, thin light body, low tannin (but still mouth cleansing with protein), some spice. Fresher in the mouth than in the nose.
    Scored for what it is.

July 15, 2022 - What a treat to try this - rather impossible to rate. It’s got some mushroom umami, smoked eggplant/babaganoush. Probably a little past peak but still quite enjoyable, would rather have had with food like ratatouille

July 15, 2022 - Pristine bottle with a great fill and moist cork which came out in one piece. No sediment, no crust
Fairly brilliant dark with a garnet rim.
    Smoky Babaganoush nose
Fairly tart smoky flavors with some strawberry and leaf flavors.
While quite mature this is surviving quite well, without the stewed tomato flavors of some other 64s. Quite a treat and surviving well

May 21, 2021 - Way musty when first opened. We started as a PNP and then moved to decant and I think the air really helped this. It’s on the downswing (or at least this bottle was) so time to drink up. Starting to get a bit thin and slightly metallic but with some decent cigar box.

January 20, 2018 - Pnp and drank over several hours. Completely soaked cork but good fill. Nice garnet color in the glass. Initially just a touch of oxidative nose joining the dry fruit and some medicinal notes but they blow away. Still good concentration on the palate, just not very expressive/aromatic overall. Short to medium finish. Good but not great bottle.
