December 5, 2020 - World of Pinot Noir Tasting (13 Pinots from Burgundy, Germany, New Zealand, Oregon and California); 12/5/2020-12/6/2020 (Zoom): Slightly cloudy mid to light burgundy color.
High toned nose of turned soil, roses.
Quite black fruited... black cherries, vosne spice, tart acidity.
Showing well, although i suspect just slightly past its apogee at this point. -

December 1, 2016 - Had with Thanksgiving 2016 leftovers w/Brandon's. Earthy & loam; dark chocolate and mocha hints.

September 14, 2014 - Very good mulberry and raspberry flavors on the tongue, with some oak. Acidity was moderate, as was the tannin activity. Moderate finish. Was liked by many at the dinner table. Alcohol was fairly noticeable to me and for that reason I was less enthused.

September 13, 2014 - Lovely NZ pinot, drinking very well, smooth and ripe with juicy red cherry and dark strawberry fruit. Very pure with limited secondary notes. Sweet but with a dry finish, more cherry and strawberry fruit, really delicious. Light yet powerful, sweet yet dry and balanced by acidity.

March 14, 2014 - unfined/unfiltered makes for a little different tasting Pinot. That adds body. It was pleasant enough with two hours decant time, but doesn't have an attractive QPR for me. I drank without food, but I'm wondering if I might have enjoyed it more w/a food made w/a light cream sauce.
