May 21, 2021 - Holding up nicely. Pepper, leather, and black fruit aromas. Supple palate. Nice level of acidity, and still plenty of depth in a very dense core.

November 24, 2020 - Found 2 bottles in my cellar. Thought vinegar at first but more pepper on the nose. Soft with few if any tannins left on the palate. Tobacco and blackberry. Nice finish. Very impressed with this 10 year old wine that I thought would be past its prime. Wish I had a case.

July 2, 2020 - Mid mahogany-garnet. Smoke, tea leaf (orange pekoe?), undergrowth, wild fennel, menthol, blackberry; also hints of chewy liquorice bark, salted toffee caramel, white pepper (reminds me of sneezing powder). On the palate it reflects the nose, has thick sweet tannin, generous but integrated, sandy textured in the mid-palate with flavours of lavender cream, chocolate gingers and (almost iodine?). holding well for 10 years.

December 4, 2017 - Pepper and eucalypus scent. Thick, earth, dark fruit, tobacco, herb and anise flavor with ample tannins.

March 31, 2015 - Dark fruit and blackberry aromas. Fairly strong tannins make for a long finish. Overall, I liked it for the value.
