Community Tasting Notes 2

March 27, 2020 - Good VFM. Moderate length, still a bit tannic but not coarse. No hint of vintage heat/flabbiness. Drank over 3 hours, and by the third the merlot had come to the fore with a nice mocha note. Perhaps lacking just a bit of depth but it's hardly thin. Good, not great, but quite a bit of headroom for improvement. Leave for 5 years at least and I think it'll be a very good wine.

August 3, 2012 - Shows lots of ripe blackberry, sweet currant and black plums along with floral, tobacco, pain grille and hints of espresso. This is balanced and complex with silky tannins and lots of grip on the finish allowing the fruit to linger on and on. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 2%Petit Verdot. (Drink 2012-2019)
