February 22, 2019 - Incredible balanced, dark fruit with little oak and endless finish. Tremendous and I have one more to go....

February 17, 2019 - Served blind to two wine loving friends (only I knew what it was). Both guessed a 5 years old wine or younger! One was annoyed of the "sweetness of the fruit" as he called it. The other was amazed. As I was. Great richness and depth and incredible aging potential. Could age gracefully for another 15 years or more. Balanced, complex and long. Hedonistic.

February 4, 2019 - In a perfect place. Decanted an hour plus. Mouth filling and tanins fully integrated. Several years left for this vintage in my estimation. Glad I have a few more bottles.

January 7, 2019 - Very impressive wine, black and full bodied, with a heady nose of black fruit and spice like star-anise, sweet on the palate, I'd say very sweet.
Difficult to believe the age of this wine, it seems like a baby still.
On the evening we drank it, it seemed to me too much... I almost solely drank the other wine (Cepparelo 2000).
As it is now, it can easily be drank on its own, as it is so big to be a meal on its own.
Nevertheless a fantastic wine if you like the style.
    Can age further for decades.

January 1, 2019 - Drank magnum New Year's Eve at Tryon's. Certainly festive bottle for the occasion and it rose to it. This was excellent and drank well all night. Decanted a couple hours before dinner then poured well before main course ( beef tenderloins in mushrooms), This wine stood out all night as just a cut above everything else. Doing fine; no rush.
